Welcome to St Gabriel's School, where every child is valued, supported and celebrated for their unique strengths and talents.
Learn MoreDiscover Their Strengths
For over a century, St Gabriel’s School has supported young people with additional needs through specialised learning, compassionate teaching and a strong sense of community.
Founded as a school for the deaf and now serving students with a range of learning and sensory needs, we provide tailored education from Primary through to Secondary in a purpose-built environment designed for growth and confidence.
Our students build independence, develop communication and life skills, and discover their potential in a place where they feel valued and understood.
2026-2028
Shaped through the ideas and contributions of our School community, we’ve identified four main priorities: Learning and Teaching, Faith and Identity, Community Wellbeing and Sustainability
Discover the care, expertise and community helping your child thrive.
St Gabriel’s offers core primary and secondary education, including numeracy and literacy, as well as subjects to develop social skills and communication.
We work in partnership with our students, their families and allied health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for the students’ education and wellbeing.
As a not-for-profit, we invest everything back into our school. We rely on the generous support of grants, corporate sponsors, foundations and individual donations.
in Primary School
Our Primary classes have 8 students with a dedicated teacher and a learning support officer. Primary students take part in English, Mathematics, Science History, Geography, Personal Development and Health and Religion with their class teacher, and Art, Music and Physical Education with a specialist teacher. In addition to this they participate in House Meetings, Pastoral Care and assemblies each fortnight.
in Secondary School
Our Secondary students have classes of 10 to 12 students with a homeroom teacher and learning support staff. They stay in these cohorts to attend classes in English, Maths, Science, Music, Languages, Food Technology, Textiles and Applied Sciences and Physical Education.
When they enter Year 11 and 12 the students can choose to undertake accredited Vocational Educational Training courses, such as Hospitality. We also have work experience training facilities on site, like our Mini Woolies retail store.
